Chart Concepts

What are the 12 astrological houses?

The 12 sections of the chart that each stand for a subject of your life.

What it means

Imagine the birth chart is a round pizza sliced into 12 equal pieces. Each piece of the sky is called a "house".

What it means in astrology

Each house looks after a theme: the 1st House is about you, the 2nd about money, the 4th about your home and family, the 7th about love and partnerships, and the 10th about your career.

Example

If you have several planets gathered in the 4th House, your home is the most sacred place in your life and you love having loved ones over.

Quick tip

Signs show HOW you feel; houses show WHERE things happen.
